Tufted Titmouse

Another new one to the yard. He came when I started putting out the sunflower seeds for the Cardinals. We had these at our last house all the time, but it is the first one I have seen here. He is not showing his 'top hat' here, but I have clearly seen it. Notice the little orange spot on his flank.

Leedra: I love the colors on the little bird and they are the most beautiful singers of all the birds.

I love these birds, they are so friendly. I had one land in my hand a few weeks ago when I was trying to handfeed the chickadees.

That is so funny Leedra :) The titmouse that frequents our backyard also refuses to have it's crown up when being photographed. I swear it knows!
