More wildflowers in GSMNP

I guess about now you are all wondering if I really went to the Smokies to check out the fall colors since I have shown more wildflowers than the fall colors. I am hoping the peak will hit about Monday, because I get to go back then. In the meantime I decided to take advantage of the wildflowers, because one hard frost and they will be gone until spring. You know me, I love macro photography.

Those appear more delicate than the lavender ones.

Leedra, I love these almost as much as I adored the hydrangea photos you posted a while back.

Hi Leedra,
I love all wildflowers. Yours are great. On my walk this morning I found some little blue ones that I think are Spiderwort. I wonder if I could dig them up and move them.

I love these litle pink ones!
Some of these wildflowers are the prettiest this time of year.

Leedra you are a master of macro with your wonderful color and bokeh. Keep them coming!

btw....spiderwort is a very hardy plant and would probably transplant easily. I have it in purple, pink, and white and it's the purple that is most hardy.

I'm glad you captured them before they are gone!
