These were also taken this past Monday in the GSMNP. The first one is also at Newfound Gap, but the others are not.
The Smokies tend to turn blue in a lot of the photographs. Guess that is how they got the nickname of the blue ridges.
One of several tunnels, it amazed me how many honked their horns as they came through the tunnels. The traffic was heavy, so it took me a while to get this photograph without a vehicle in it. One of the trees looks like a redbud in bloom in the spring, but it was this week, that is just the way the leaves look.

I really like the tunnel photo.
Darla - I had been meaning to stop and photograph at least one of the tunnels for months. I think I picked a good day. Glad you like it.
Incredible photos Leedra, so much beauty out there and you have captured it most definitely. Love the tunnel photo too.
Me three! ;) That tunnel photo is awesome and you have great patience. I love all the color of the leaves in this post and the previous one. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, it really looks peaceful and serene.
All of these are beautifully composed with wonderful color!
Leedra,
You are capturing one of the most beautiful places on earth--the Smoky Mountains, and doing a great job! I love these photos!
Marie
