Fall in the Smoky Mountains National Park

These were also taken this past Monday in the GSMNP. The first one is also at Newfound Gap, but the others are not.
The Smokies tend to turn blue in a lot of the photographs. Guess that is how they got the nickname of the blue ridges.
One of several tunnels, it amazed me how many honked their horns as they came through the tunnels. The traffic was heavy, so it took me a while to get this photograph without a vehicle in it. One of the trees looks like a redbud in bloom in the spring, but it was this week, that is just the way the leaves look.

Darla - I had been meaning to stop and photograph at least one of the tunnels for months. I think I picked a good day. Glad you like it.
