The first post today has the 6 point buck on the right side of the road. When he took off he was over both fences in a flash. The 8 point, which I did not get to photograph on the right side of the road, only jumped one of the fence and then stopped in the road for a drink. He looks toward the other buck.
He then jumps the fence too, which I did NOT capture.
End of photographic session for buck number 2.

Love the velvet on his rack. I wonder if it is as soft as it looks?
Great photo series of the deer! Loved seeing his velvet rack!
Leedra: What wonderful captures of the deer. You did a really nice job on all the photos. They are a joy to see.
Thanks Leedra for stopping by my blog.. The bear was a delightful surprise and so was the Mantis. It was so large I couldn't believe it was real!!
Your deer pictures are very pretty. Cades Cove looks like 'my kinda place'. No way to tell if that's the same buck unless there is a distinguishing mark on him. As you watch deer you will get to know them and from season to season you can tell them apart....Atleast that is my experience. Then sometimes you just don't know!
AWESOME deer pictures!! I only have a few doe pics and would love to get some buck pictures!!
Thanks for the nice comments on my blog!
Take care and keep up the great photography!!
