James Snodderly feeding his cattle

As promised, Mr. Snodderly hand feeding his cows. But first a trip to my neighbor's garden to get the bean plants and corn stalks.Which was a very HOT job.
Then we went onto down the road to Mr. Snodderly's farm for the hand feeding of his cattle. He said he has to be careful, because they came close to getting some fingers last week.
Bill gets his garden cleaned out and Mr Snodderly gets extra food for his cows.
They eliminate the compost piles, just go ahead and get rid of it immediately.
We really had an enjoyable time that afternoon.
Mr. Snodderly just wanted some photos from the afternoon. That I could handle.

Canadian Goose at James Snodderly's farm

Mr. Snodderly has had this Canadian Goose for 19 years.Somebody brought him 3 babies 19 years ago. One died, one flew off, and this one has hung around for the whole 19 years.
When we first pulled up with the corn to feed the cows Mr Snodderly threw 1 fresh corn cob of sweet corn the the goose.
He cleaned it totally, and I would not suggest trying to take it away from him. Could almost hear him growling like a dog with a bone.
I promise the next post will be of the cows eating from Mr. Snodderly's hand.

Days Gone By

We were invited to a neighbor's house for me to take photos of his farm.He still has his old tractor in the barn.
And actually turns the crank several turns every Monday morning.
Although he has not started it in several years. He said it has been in his family 65 years.
I just wandered around and took photos.
The clothes line is my favorite.
Thank you James Snodderly for an enjoyable afternoon.

Be watching for the post of him feeding his cattle.
