Little Greenbriar Schoolhouse at Metcalfe Bottoms in GSMNP
Metcalfe Bottoms in GSMNP trails and roadways
The first 2 photographs are on a walking path, on the back side of the water, close to the Metcalfe Bottoms picnic area.
The last 2 photgraphs are on the one lane roadway to the Metcalfe Bottoms schoolhouse. It is one lane, but 2 way traffic. Just had to stop to photograph. If you have visited very long you know I love the old country lanes with trees on both sides.
And these just a hint of fall colors showing. This was the last day I was able to go to the GSMNP during the fall colors this year.
Metcalfe Bottoms in GSMNP
I go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park fairly often. I don't remember ever turning into the picnic area of Metcalfe Bottoms.
I was in for a nice surprise, and have several post to share.
These four were taken across the water from the parking lot.
The last 2 were from the same spot.

Fall Colors just barely hanging on
When I got to Spring City yesterday afternoon thought I should get out and take some last photos of the fall colors.
The rain is coming and is suppose to stay for several days. I am sure there will be no leaves left after the rain...except on the ground.
Notice the Eastern Bluebird, thinks he is hiding in the fall colors.
I think he would look good in one of my greeting cards.
Fall Colors at Cumberland Mtn State Park
And then made a photograph of the bridge from this side.

More fall colors around Watts Bar Lake
These were taken standing on the side of the highway. So quiet and peaceful to be so close to the highway.
The last photograph has 2 men out fishing in the fall afternoon. So relaxing.
