Gorgeous - all those leaves and colors have been rained off and whipped away by a very strong wind. The place looks very different this week! Lovely capture though. A great remembrance of what was.
these are so lovely along with so many other of your posts - wonderful photography! I can see why you've been awarded so often. Happy SWF. (that's become a more popular saying in blogosphere than TGIF :)
Your pictures of the Great Smoky Mountains are excellent. I hiked the Appalachian Trail back in 2000 and I enjoyed walking through the park very much. Your photos inspire me to revisit the Park during the Autumn Season. Thank you for the wonderful comments at my Photoblog Site. I'll be visiting again soon.
Great photo thanks for sharing. You were so lucky to find a way to get the gap. When I go to Wv. It is not easy to get this type of shot. You have to wait till trees are bare and then it is not as beautiful as yours. Happy skywatch friday!
I can smell the crisp stillness. Lovely. And thanks so much for visiting and commenting on my Watery Wednesday rain rings photo. I appreciate it very much.
Your pictures are so gorgeous, they reflect the Autumn/fall spirit. Just like you offered us immensity. Ive watched the entire front page. The migration pictures are amazing! Thanks to share your part of the world and of your Sky, Leedra.
These are lovely photographs for SWF and you have a skill with composition and angles.Thank you for sharing them. The colours are wonderful. I also like that the ground mantle is so slight, as to only soften the ground shape underneath. It allows one to see how strong the land is.
Really lovely area, and no question how they got their name - that soft smokiness is beautiful! Great shots of the woodpeckers too. I get them fairly regularly at my suet feeder in winter (S. Ontario).
Hi Leedra, those Smoke Mountain pictures of yours are the way they always looked to me. Unless I was wondering down in the valleys amongs the trees, off the main roads. Thank you. Thank you for your visit too. And for your compliment on the view. Happy Skywatching. ..
I have not even read what others have said, cause sometimes when I do I feel like I don't have anything left to say...so just going to say these are very beautiful. Makes me wish I was home for a while.
