I love how you caught him with the wings down in flight - lovely!! P.S. I think you said your grandson is due this spring? I will need to find a birding festival later summer or early fall - I'd love to rally some birdy bloggers to go and meet there! Just have to find a good central spot. More on this later.
That is such a good shot! I have yet to learn to caputure birds in the air with any clarity. I can't focus fast enough and lose them as I try to follow them, while fiddling with the camera. Some day. It is so nice to see really good photos on other blogs like yours!
Pretty picture. I need to practice on flight pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of capturing the tern in flight. I wish I could do that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird, Leedra. I love it when you can get them 'in flight.' Wow!

ReplyDeleteGreat shot Leedra!
ReplyDeleteThis is a new bird for me. Flight shots are not easy but when it all comes together they are really hard to beat.
Leedra,
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, as usual! You captured the shot at just the right time.....it must be so hard to do that.
Awesome capture!
ReplyDeleteSandwich Tern? I've never heard of them before - funny name! Love that shot!
