So beautiful! I'm thrilled for you that you get to see so many butterflies. My mom & I saw one in the backyard the other day and I ran out to try to ID it. I didn't grab the camera because I figured it would fly off. It didn't stay long, but I did get a chance to be pretty sure it was an Unsilvered Fritillary which are very rare, but just a few miles away is a wonderful habitat where they are found.
I forgot to look up your unknown butterfly last night in my guide book. I'll try to remember tonight :)
What a beautiful butterfly. And your photos certainly did it justice. It must have taken a lot of patience to get such great shots. Thanks for sharing.
Sigh...lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the third pic with the contrast between the color of the butterfly and the zinnia.
ReplyDeleteLeedra: This is a beautiful butterfly. Very nicely captured, great photos.
